Weld preparation is one of the steps Wirco performs during the assembly of our furnace muffles. We use a full penetration weld that minimizes the attack of atmospheric conditions, which attack welds from the inside. This process also adds life and strength to the muffle. This is a standard practice on all Wirco retorts and muffles.
