A beveler is responsible for shaping the edges of various types of metal to specified angles.

  • Setting up and operating beveling machines to ensure precision and quality
  • Inspecting materials before and after beveling to maintain quality and accuracy
  • Measuring and marking materials to prepare for beveling
  • Adjusting machine settings to achieve the desired bevel angle and depth
  • Maintaining and cleaning beveling equipment to ensure optimal performance

This role requires a keen eye for detail and an understanding of how materials respond to cutting and shaping tools.

Beveler Responsibilities & Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Set up and operate beveling machines and tools.
  • Inspect materials before and after beveling to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Measure and mark materials to prepare for beveling.
  • Adjust machine settings to achieve the desired bevel angle and depth.
  • Maintain and clean beveling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with various metals.
  • Ensure safety precautions are adhered to while operating machinery.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Repair or replace damaged tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Document work processes and outcomes for quality control purposes.
  • Grinding as needed.

Beveler Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Beveler or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using beveling machines and tools.
  • Understanding of different materials and their properties.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of beveling tools and machinery.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills.
